Velvet Sky supports women through menstruation in an effort to make it a powerful and sustainable time of their cycle through the provision of reusable menstrual cups, reading and community engagement and well as a free cycle tracking app for their phones.
To design a branding experience that makes their customers feel powerful, a sense of community and sisterhood, empowered and seriously respected as they search for sustainable, natural and ethical menstrual care and products that are aligned with their feminist values and recognise women for the powerful forces they are. To develop a brand identity that is powerful, strong, community-driven and holistically challenges the conversation about women and their cycles.

Nothing because this is what I call a dream project. A project where I get to exercise my creative and strategic muscles, learn new skills and create work for a field or industry I am very passionate about.
The benefits of this are plentiful — I get to attract moire clients from this field while also creating work beyond perhaps the creative scope of what I usually do, such as designing app interfaces. It’s also an opportunity for me to really get to work refining a specific skillset like clean mouse-created illustration where I usually focus on rough, imperfect hand-drawn styles.
